Abstract: Bilateral castration is the treatment of choice for all testicular tumours. It is justified by the presence of bilateral tumours in 45% of cases. It is curative in 80% of cases. Chemotherapy is justified in cases with metastases or invasion of peritesticular tissue and diffuse forms of seminoma or sertolinoma. Bone marrow hypoplasia is a serious complication of hyperoestrogenism. It may disappear within 5 months after tumour resection. In severe cases, blood transfusions, antibiotics and bone marrow stimulants are indicated, but the prognosis is poor.
