Abstract : The volume contains 21 papers by various authors summarizing presentations given at a meeting entitled "The regulation of gene expression in animal viruses" that was held in Mallorca, Spain, May/June, 1992. Many aspects of molecular virology and viral pathogenesis are covered including, virus structure at the atomic level, gene expression of DNA virus, molecular biology and gene variation of viruses containing reverse transcriptase, gene expression and pathogenicity of RNA viruses with double- and single-stranded RNA genomes.
