Titre anglais : Tendinous and ligamentary pathology of the hock.

The hock presents strong and complex collateral ligaments and tendons that cannot be imaged with radiography. Therefore, the use of ultrasonography to examine this joint may provide useful information that can be essential for the diagnosis and management of many conditions of this joint in horses. The purpose of this paper is to present the ultrasonographic technique to image the different aspects of the hock, to show reference ultrasonographic images and to present the main clinical conditions that can be diagnosed with this technique, used alone or in conjunction with other imaging modalities.
