Titre anglais : Traumatic breach of the broad ligament subsequent to caesarean in a bitch.

Abstract: The prevalence of feline obesity is on the increase. It is essential for practitioners to make owners of obese cats understand that this condition can cause to major complications. The introduction of a weight reduction plan in an obese cat before the occurrence of the subsequent secondary effects requires good client compliance because it is a long term procedure. The diet (home-made, industrial and/or a mixture of both) prescribed by the practitioner, is adapted depending on the likes and dislikes of both the cat and the owner. The cat is not a little dog and changes in diet must take into account specific feline behavioural characteristics. This article provides the approach to both the prescription of the diet and its introduction, and how to deal with queries from the owners.
