MANGE : Dermanyssus gallinae - Sarcoptes scabeii - Psoroptes - Chorioptes. MYIASIS : Hypoderma Bovine - Hypoderma Non-Bovine - Oestrus ovis - Traumatic myiasis. ----- COST Action 833 on mange and myiasis in livestock was approved by the COST Senior Officials Committee at the end of 1997 and entered into force on 15 January 1998. The need for research on these parasitic problems was apparent and the response of the veterinary and scientific community working on this field troughout Europe and beyond was enthusiastic and immediate. In two working groups, one on myiasis and the other on mange, scientists from 18 European countries (B, CY, CZ, DK, F, D, EL, H, IS, IRL, I, NL, PL, RO, E, S, CH, UK) have been cooperating since early 1998.
